KX61-2S

If you own a Kubota KX61-2S compact excavator, you know they pack 27 hp in what looks like a small machine. And they have a digging depth and digging reach of 9 ft with an operating weight of 5,910 pounds. The Kubota KX series (which also includes the KX61-2G) are all excellent mini excavators, and this one is no exception. Keep in mind, however, that the KX series has a conventional tail swing as opposed to the zero-tail swing of the U series.

These machines are great for all kinds of tasks, and you can see them used in industries as varied as landscaping, utilities, road work, construction, and demolition. They can also be used to create trails, including bike trails. We think the Kubota KX61-2S works especially well for rough cutting, digging ditches alongside the trails, getting rid of problematic rocks, and even grading.
